18 Wheeler Accident Resulting in Fuel Spill Shut Down I-10 in Houston, Texas on Sunday October 9th

An 18 wheeler truck struck a guard rail resulting in fuel spilling out onto the highway on I-10 near Taylor Sunday morning, October 9th, 2011.  This resulted in all lanes being closed in the westbound side of the Katy Freeway.

150 gallons of fuel and over 50 gallons of oil were spilled onto the roadway requiring a Hazmat team to clean up the mess.

No injuries were reported.
