Paul H. Cannon To Speak At Upcoming Dangerous Dog Victim Event and Vigil

Posted on by Paul Cannon

Event FlyerTrial attorney Paul H. Cannon of Simmons and Fletcher will be a guest speaker at the 2nd Annual Event for Victims of Pit Bulls & Other Dangerous Dogs to be held on October 19, 2013, in Spring, Texas.   The event will feature a number of booths with free giveaways and games with prizes.  There will be several speakers from victims to professionals as well as a candle light vigil to honor those lost.

The Event is free to the public and offers a chance to show support for the victims and their families while raising awareness of what can happen.  Pit Bulls and several other breeds of dogs have a powerful bite making them dangerous, particularly to people who are unfamiliar to the animals.  Texas laws and regulations are inconsistent from city to county to state with regards to dog attacks and liability. As a result, it is often difficult if not impossible to hold accountable an irresponsible dog owner who fails to respect and/or appreciate the dangers of these dogs. Simmons and Fletcher, P.C. hopes this event will raise awareness of the risks and dangers in order to encourage more responsible dog ownership.

More details to come as new sponsors and events are added.

Event Time: Noon to 9 p.m.
Location: P.J.’s Softball Park, 22303 Gossling Road, Spring, Texas.
Admission: Free
