Houston, TX (April 27, 2021) – Officers with the Harris County Police Department say that a 55-year-old man was killed in a rush-hour truck accident on the Fred Hartman Bridge Tuesday afternoon, April 27.
The deadly collision occurred shortly before 4:00 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 146. Authorities say that the accident involved a black pickup that appeared to be nearly destroyed beneath the rear end of an 18-wheeler. All lanes of the roadway were blocked for the official investigation, which continued for several hours. Paramedics were on the scene but appeared to pronounce the victim deceased before he could be transported to an area hospital.
