Houston, TX (March 22, 2021) – One person is dead and two more are seriously injured following a crash that occurred in the Houston area on Friday evening, March 19, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to reports of a deadly crash at 2920 Mueschke Road around 9:00 p.m. Friday.
Investigators say that a man and his passenger were traveling westbound in a blue 2009 Chrysler 300. He attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot when his vehicle was struck by a brown 1999 GMC Sierra, which was traveling eastbound on FM 2920. The passenger in the Chrysler died before they could be transported to the hospital, but the driver of the Chrysler was taken to a nearby medical center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials are working to identify the driver of the GMC. Witnesses say the GMC’s driver sustained injuries as well, though they fled the scene before they could be treated. The case remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
