Houston, Texas. As a continuing sponsor of the annual Walk Like MADD fundraising event for 2024 Southeast Texas, the attorneys at Simmons and Fletcher, P.C. are proud to be teaming up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to provide a sober ride home on New Year’s Eve.
About Walk Like Madd
Walklikemadd.org Southeast Texas will take place on September 28, 2024, at 8:00 am, at Champion Forest Baptist Church Jersey Village, 16518 Jersey Village Dr., Jersey Village TX 77040. Simmons and Fletcher, P.C. are a presenting sponsor of the event and will be present. The first 400 people who sign up at the Simmons and Fletcher, P.C., sponsor booth will be electronically transmitted a $25.00 ride voucher from Uber that will be good towards an Uber ride anywhere around the Houston area between the hours of 6 p.m. on Dec 31st, 2024, and 6 a.m. on Jan 1st, 2025, 6 am. The goal of these vouchers is to prevent New Year’s Eve celebrations from turning into a drinking and driving tragedy.
Unclaimed/Unused Rides
In addition to the above, Simmons and Fletcher, P.C. has committed to donate the unclaimed/unused balance of the $10,000 in vouchers (or $5,000 whichever is greater) to Rescue America—a mission that fights human trafficking nationally by providing guidance, transportation, food, and shelter to human trafficking survivors to aid them in escaping from their captors.
Additional Event Details
In addition to the Walk, the entire parking lot will be filled with first responder vehicles and personnel ranging from Fire Trucks to Police and SWAT Vehicles to tour as well as tons of local sponsors’ booths with free giveaways.
